Between Fate and Fortune

Chae Dojun’s life, marred by misfortune and ill luck, has left him skeptical of the whims of fate. Dismissing romanticized ideals, he aims for a modest aspiration: to live a contented life. However, the burden of caring for a sick parental figure, the constant troubles of a “brother,” and a mounting pile of debts make even this humble dream seem out of reach. But destiny might be taking a different turn for Dojun. His encounters with Heo Tae-seok, initially fraught with disaster, evolve into a series of serendipitous meetings. This repetitive crossing of paths prompts Dojun to question if these coincidences might indeed be the workings of fate. And perhaps, this newfound fate could be the harbinger of good fortune and a shift in the tides of his luck.
